Okay, I've gotten the Original Artwork and Hacks galleries back online, with new content! Make sure you check 'em out on the funky new blue menu to the left. With the exception of the Colourisations gallery (which will be up tomorrow), I've pulled all the dead links. I'm also migrating stuff away from the collapsable Java menu system we were using in order to comply with lovable but anally retentive browsers such as Opera. Enjoy the new blue look until I can get things repaired -- after that, we'll all get together and pretty 'em back up again.

Anyway, it's late. No, wait. It's early. Anyway, off to bed with us.

Sorry 'bout that. I meant for that to go to qbutterfly. On the other hand, I'll use this accident as an opportunity to spam what's left of our website, Quantum Butterfly Studio! So there.

...I heard me say aloud to myself not a minute ago regarding a horde of pro-censorship poopmongers I ran across. "You can't fight idiots. There are too many of them."

There are some things that really piss me off. Censorship is one of them. Centering myself now.

Gonna go play Dynasty Warriors 5 and "knock out" some people with a sword. =(

Psychotic Ramblings

Vacation's halfway(?) over -- don't know, since our schedules weren't made. Working on disinfecting Chibi-Ami, darkechibi's computer.

Played enough Dynasty Warriors 5 to unlock Zhu Rong, then proceeded to beat the crap out of the entire Nanman kingdom for Shu -- because a lefilicious babe like Zhu Rong shouldn't be on the arm of a giant chicken-muncher like Meng Huo. So she beat him up.

Due to the absurd cost of gasoline, I haven't driven anywhere in days. Can't afford food by the time I drive to the grocery store, so what's the point?

Oh, I made a prototype of the Byte My Tool (Bar)! for Firefox and Internet Explorer. Nifty search box along with my tech news feeds. Anyone, let me know if you're interested.

Motion Picture Association has obtained an open search warrant for an ENTIRE CITY!!!

Aug. 31st, 2005 | 04:41 pm

In a statement, the MPA explained that the order "permits police to search any premises suspected of containing pirated products, and permits officers to open locked premises without delay".

That is so... I dunno. I guess it's okay for big money corporations to be the law. That's what we're taught in America, right?

Yamanaka-sensei on top!

Tonight's reading of Yamanaka Saga (including the just completed "Yamanaka the Ruler")</i> went even better than I'd hoped for.

The basic tenet of the loosely-connected "series" is a teacher, Yamanaka-sensei (who keeps switching places in time with Nobunaga Oda), a squad of inept amateur kunoichi with a naughty streak, a mischievous wish-granting fox, the girl who gets repeatedly victimized because of Yamanaka, and the young boy who has sworn to kill him. A lot of funny and surprising interplay transpires between these diverse and unique characters.

I'll get all three parts together as PDF and eBook and release them in a couple of days.

I promised darkechibi and curiouskitty35 before they went to the pool that I wouldn't do any work today. Four hours later, I haven't stopped. I'm sorry... I guess it's just my nature. I'm not frustrating myself much, at least.

For those who have been following Yamanaka Saga, you'll be interested to know that the final story, "Yamanaka the Ruler", is now complete. I'll ask darkechibi to give it a reading a little later today, and I'll get it and the first two back together so we can put it in with the other repairs.

Still a lot of stuff unfixed, since I only had what was on QuantumButterfly.net itself backed up. Still, as darkechibi said, we can use this opportunity to rebuild better. Rome wasn't burned in a day.

Gonna try to get in a quick run in Dynasty Warriors 5, then work with asilana some on Cosmo Sentinel Avator when she gets here.

If you think we're weird, you should read our fiction.
